Through Lau's eyes

Life through my eyes

A writer I admire told me one day that I should always be a truth. Since then it has become even clearer to me that journalism is my thing. And the best way to express it is through my lens.

Photography...

For me, it's an escape from routine. When I need to clear my head and disconnect from reality, I either go out to take photos or I look through the ones I have. It means immortalising a moment that I want to keep forever and that the memory on my retina is not enough.

It's a way of expressing myself and my tastes. Sometimes it's hard to see the beauty where it doesn't seem to be. But if you look further, you can certainly find it. In everyday life it's very easy for many things to go unnoticed by our eyes. And that doesn't mean that they are not there.

I want my photographs to be an appeal to the beauty of the everyday.

My projects

During my Erasmus in Verona, I have had the opportunity to visit many cities in Italy and other countries. This has allowed me to practice a lot and further increase my desire to photograph daily life, landscapes or details that perhaps are imperceptible to other people, but not to me and my lens.

I am very proud of my progress although, without a doubt, I still have a lot to learn.

All the photographs have been taken with my Canon Powershot SX530 HS camera; Canon EOS 2000D and my mobile, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro.
